Alexandria

This was an extremely grungy day. The worst since leaving Oregon. We had forgotten what a hot humid day was but were reminded today. The riding was great but we were soaked for most of the day due to the high humidity. We must be getting closer to home.

An increase in trees and hills

We had breakfast in Fergus Falls where we picked up the Central Lakes Trail (rails to trails). The name of The place where we ate was the Viking Cafe. They have great food and hospitality. Reminded us of the old Freddie's from back home. Definitely worth a repeat if we should ever find ourselves in Fegus Falls again.

From Fergus Falls we rode on the rails to trails and enjoyed no traffic, gentle grades, and shade. In places the trees formed a canopy giving us a tunnel of shade.

Great riding!

Our day ended in Alexandria. Had dinner at Doolittles. Great food! We had appetizer, bread, main dish and dessert. It was all good clean food. Now we're munching on fruit as we write this. We should be in good shape for another ride tomorrow.

Miles today = 78

Total miles = 2141

  1. You did well for a hot/humid day. Checking on you daily for progress. Would you say you are 1/2 way? Praying for cooler temps.
