After a good nights sleep in the Hebron Park we got up and hit the road. Our first major decision was to bike on 12 miles of gravel or about the same distance on the interstate with rumble strips the entire width of the shoulder,we opted for the gravel. It took a lot of energy and strength on Steve's part to keep the bike upright. We are very impressed with the encouraging and friendly people in North Dakota. Several locals stopped us as we rode to let us know the road was rough and to wish us a safe ride. We landed in Bismarck and found a hotel with a laundry, LOVE clean bike clothes. We had an excellent meal at The Peacock Alley and delightful phone chat with our good friends Dave and Kathy Whitney.
Dirt road option - at least it's green |

Miles today = 66
Total miles = 1768
That sounds like a challenging day, glad you are past it. Praying no more dirt roads in the future. Hope you had a great night sleep and are ready for today, may God guide you and give you strength and good health.
