We continue along the "hi line" (route 2) today. There is very little change as we pedal along. The last town we went through (Dodson) was essentially a ghost town with all businesses along the highway closed and boarded up. Even with the drudgery of pedaling through this unchanging landscape we can still find beauty in such things as roadside wild flowers.
Today we finished in Malta (still in Montana). This town even has a DQ. The ice cream and milkshake were wonderful after a day of riding.

Temperatures are about 10 deg F cooler where we are, making it possible to ride latter in the day. It looks like it's still really hot in Portland Or. Glad we're still not there no matter how much we miss our Portland friends.
