Today we left Glasgow and continued east on the Hi Line (route 2) to Wolf Point. We have followed the Hi Line for several hundred miles from Browning with the railway as our frequent companion. The trains out here are completely different from what we are used to back in Maine. These trains are several miles long and travel at high speed - fast enough to make me feel dizzy watching them up close.
Typical companion along the Hi Line |
From Wolf Point we left the Hi Line and headed south along route 13 to Circle Montana. Traffic was much lighter however the terrain was no longer flat consisting of what I would call "rollers" (one long gradual uphill followed by a long gradual downhill followed by one long gradual uphill followed by...).
Montana Big Sky Country is the truth |
One of many rollers on way to Circle |
Circle Montana is another dusty town but we have a bed and food. Our needs are meet.
Miles today = 104
Total miles = 1509
